When lucky enough to come across an antique, hand-carved, Victorian mano figa, what is a jeweler to do but carve a new mounting and set her delicate little wrist in diamond bangles! Sculpted to form an organic, bubble-encrusted topper, the 18 karat gold brings out the color of the coral in a decadent richness. Her bangles are also in 18k gold, and both bangle and topper are set with tiny diamonds. Since the Romans, this symbol has been worn to ward off evil and bring good luck, sometimes also used as a fertility symbol.

*Please note: antique coral is extremely difficult to find in excellent condition and so is a very unusual offering in the collection. I will never use modern coral, which is collected from our fragile coral reefs and is extremely detrimental to the ecosystem.
